Emotions dictate and leave an evil wake

The mind cries for it knows emotions belie

Emotions will tell you what you want and you scorn the I

I is the mind which keeps you safe and will never lie

But irrational is taught with happy thoughts

Damned is the rational for it’ll never shield the truth

Emotions will attack and hurt, you’ll pretend it was uncouth

Act on emotions and destroy yourself like age does to youth

Where are you, in this age where to “thine own self be true” hides?

Do you sacrifice yourself into the small world of emotionalist ties?

Are your ideals in tatters because someone has caressed?

Dare to ignore your heart and be free to kiss your dreams

Look into the mirror and see the clouds or happiness glean

It must be the future, but now determines that mean

Be free, be free to search and find those who raise you high
