When It
Stops
Bullet in
the head when the music stops
Pills and
liquor gives the rush and then the drop
Doctor
Dream is an evil scion with his glorious scream
One bad
gleam in his eye and you’re down stream
Urge to
step too far is the misstep of desire
Music in
your head disguises the panic of silence, the fire
A road at
times a step and sometimes an endless load
By the
weight of sadness I’m pushed to the side, in wreckage mode
There’s
nothing anywhere and my mind forces me down
I turn up
the music to get those emotions to drown
Reach for
the light, the ambrosia of distraught plight
No notion
every time whether it’ll ignite
Demolition
of belief is reason’s sigh of relief
The
beginning of rational bedrock, survival’s leitmotif
So stop
right there, if you’ve built you dare
Savior of
you, no matter if you’re not beyond compare
