Indomitable

Indomitable

The pendulum swings as I feel the touch to my arm
I took my eyes off you and you felt the loss of that charm
So we intersect and again you trigger what you want most
Forbidden is always a drug and it never hugs Emily Post

Nothing controls the center of desire
It jumps up, kicks and you’re on fire
I wonder about society’s depraved norms
Nothing frightens order like freedom’s storms

But, reality is consequence beyond emotion
Convention is dictated by culture and religion
Humanity has evolved but alas, society’s still stuck
Fear and its relative, unjust retribution, is an easily thrown puck

No dilemma is the easily made decision by the brave
When minds agree knowing the truth it’s never being a knave
For none can destroy the will of emotion’s delight
To never surrender and we kiss with our eyes at every sight
