Sardonic Angst

Sardonic Angst

When memory triggers sweet remembrance
When memorial elicits salty vigilance
I was abandoned and met the colors of freedom
They came towards as bright gold, blue and lightning

No, this isn’t confusion but only after the smiles
For then comes blindness unable to see beyond
In the terror of personal night, fear does imagine
Time doesn’t move and sits in a hell of waiting

Then slowly those colors which destroys the fear
Movement of time resumes and looking back you know can be dear
Don’t you wonder what is Nature, that has put us here?
No chance or deliberate design, but then the drawback if it’s all empty sphere

How terribly sad if we’re all alone without
But then look at the madness that’s all about
Can it be that we’re one great irony?
The self-righteous that bring self-inflicted agony
