Temple of Base
Freedom’s
squires built tall spires where Liberty
laid foundations
It became
the beacon of freedom where truth and justice had celebrations
Alas, Liberty’s inheritors have entered the Temple of Base
without trace
In their
place see special interests with justice displaced
So now
there’re only sad faces and fears
Known
that rejecting Lady Justice will bring jeers
The
guilty only smile, but their eyes are red coals
For they
escape jail because of their connections to Hell’s holes
This
isn’t governance and worse than the Divine Right of Kings
It’s corruption
that’s bribed and cajoled, escaping media stings

morality for truth has been drowned by Liberal relativism and prostituted
ratings
Do we The
People deserve a Caligula and ultimate altruist killings?
The
pinprick of democratic rhetoric is convincing us to make the tick
Selecting
who’ll be the one to lead and direct the pathway is the political trick
So
self-reflect on the future you desire through the ethics you admire
The
Constitution to uphold with individual Liberty
the standard of honor
