At Hatred’s
Pleasure
Such a
long sojourn in the wilderness of life
Biblically
punished as if by divinity itself
Misstep
to happiness, my chin hits the step
Yet I’ll
not surrender to that fate
Mind
brake that stops is a rejected trait
Did
mother or father cast you aside or out?
A parent
that’s a stranger throws you into life’s danger
You’ll
never recover but all your life fight to be stronger
No tears
must tear but, no trust and resentment must bear
This
unfair fight steeped in injustice
You must
decide whether to despair
You could
conform but rebelliousness will be your form
This
power within, a dead end street
Until the
courage you have becomes indiscreet
Road to
happiness thru’ your tunnel of sadness
In your
hands looking back, self-construction or self-destructiveness
