Sainthood Slush

Sainthood Slush

You know that familiar rise when it’s time to take your ride
The elixir rush from the power slush
Is this addiction or your soul urging fortification?
For the power it triggers and optimism that there’s beatification

The courageous in life lived their truth
Remember Freddy and Lemmy who were such dudes
No inhibitions and no repressions, are you brave enough to be that true?
It’s not something you tell you to do, but find letting naturally thru’

Constraints, requirements, the brainwashed conformant
This illusion called society that cookie cuts anxiety
Happiness the most sought after yet hapless the resort
Perhaps in reality rescues humanity from admitting timidity

A guilt strewn human field with hopes and dreams never fulfilled
Look and see the brave that risked – there’s always a cost billed
So as their decline climbs, the regret-filled mawkish attack
But who cares about some nothing hack
