Before the Alarm

Before the Alarm

Night experience is an alternative variance
Reserves used, it’s an alternative dalliance
Walk on the cracks and under ladders
Love black cats and thirteen others

Shock the conventional and the moon and the sun
Look up and always see Mars, the moon of the unconvenshun
Excited by the cracks, slide against thighs
Of course size matters and those that say otherwise tell lies

Clocks tell time but don’t wake anyone up for life
Too many resist their desires to eat cake at midnite
Sleep until then to begin absorbing gin
Frustrations are for cowards so see the whatever-ine and dive in

Now it’s time to sleep because you’ve exhausted your keep
The world will turn and you’ll be out of kilter in deep
But there’ll be no falter because you don’t pray to that fearful altar
It’s not death, the nite just ends
