Eternity Fear

Eternity Fear

Fight during life is the battle towards freedom
Liberty of the mind, sacrosanct but attacked by fiefdom
Indoctrinated at birth to accept submission
From then on it’s a damaged psyche trying to win reason

Tabula rasa is the rapidly passing tide
Superstition and belief seeking to take you for a ride
One face is caressing, soothing and assuring
The other side callous, grabbing and tearing

Where to then as you observe the reality of dollar and yen?
You see the phony and remember Holden’s cacophony
Driving thru’ his head and nervous breakdown dead ahead
His mind bereft and emotions acting instead

Illustrates the importance of being taught to thread
Thru’ the attacking clutches of intellectual poison ivy’s shed
When it makes you itch ‘til pain and bled
That’s when freedom’s win anoints your head
