A Kill Switch

A Kill Switch

The façade fools all
You can’t see constant sadness
Or imagine thorough loneliness
Bright lights, liquor and barbiturates

To reach the state of extreme
To let out the furious stream
On stage is a curious dream
The terror of depersonalization

Wracked by self-doubt
Over and again until it’s gotten right
What if it’s lost on the night?
Talent’s a laugh, it’s self-caning that’s training

This melancholy that rises
Insight’s the land of empty kisses
Why can’t life be the stage?
Mind brake that trips when reality grips
