At Times
At
poignant moments we’re left with our thoughts
A still
rainy winter’s afternoon when emotions command
Life
lived makes us mature and so we remember
Reality
mixed with hopes, dreams as well as imagination embers
This
curious Being called human, complex and simple
We cannot
but marvel and become humble
For the
more discovered about who we are
The less
we understand and, the doors only ajar
We really
are stardust as the drag queen declared
Her
performance his dare
We live
with the view chosen or seek truth
Fear’s
comfortable and we’re frozen then, smug and couth
If we
choose discovery, it can crumble our comfort
Difficulty’s
conquering cognitive dissonance
So at
times when emotions rise, it forces revelation
Suddenly
we’ve nowhere to hide from this assignation
