Reason’s
Fight
As I
sleep and hear my name called, I open my eyes, lids shut
I see
faces in the air without knowing what
Evil or
good, I’m slightly aware that perhaps they’re from hell
Hallucination
between dream world and wakefulness, I can’t tell
Does humanity
shudder when there’s doubt about the ether?
Question
sanity when unreason taps a shoulder?
Life
buffets without mercy for justice is a metaphysical incidental
The
vectors’ll always win because we’re carbon and the universe is physical
The
choice is faith or reason for the human
Faith can
frighten and undermine enlighten
But
rationality is logic’s pathway to confidence
Eliminates
emotionalism and bestows liberation
Yet how
does one fight when all is lost and the mind takes flight?
Faith and
reason again in conflict season fight
Both have
sustained but only one destroys light
Strength
is that kernel of not giving up regardless of the night
