Evil’s
Tide [for Jessica]
Take
nothing for granted when you rise each day
Let petty
angers fall away
Suffering
visited on the innocent destroys the sublime
A
visitation by Satan seeking assassination is a heinous crime
Little
mites fighting for life bewildered at their plight
Loved
ones at their side, helpless but trusting the medical fight
Turn away
to weep for the soul pain that they keep
They too
must be brave for the faces that search to see solace in their fight so steep
Does fate
collude with infanticide or does destiny decide?
This
surreptitious genocide by a disease that’s evil’s tide
To fight
is the dedication by researching angels
Commanded
by the great pharmaceutical generals
Success
is the return to live and smile in the light
But
always sadness is present remembering those that died during night
I hope
divinity comforts them and all is chocolate
No
remembering their cries and pain as the chemo saturated their little veins
