Hubris Defeats

Hubris Defeats

It rises from optimism to confidence then ….
Oh I can do anything and it’ll work well, score ten
The younger they are, the easier to scar
Aristotle described the idea of too far

Ideas come and go but entrenched is a wall
It takes time to overcome and prevent a fall
Over and again we’re tripped by our perceptional refusal
Disharmony between reality rising and wishes whimsical

So onward we go until realization strikes
The idea whose time has come will hit as a shrike
Tears won’t raise sympathy, you deserved what you got
You’ve a mind so use it or, be called a clot

Human nature is no fan of outside the box
Party in full swing, just top up the punch stocks
Why should I change, my name is Avensis
For you’ve angered the god of retribution named Nemesis
