Depravity

Depravity

What’s the good of faith, religion’s a thief
Puts the mind to sleep with fantasy emotions of belief
Does divinity gaze down and witness like comedy relief?
Hears the cries of the innocent starving or tortured then goes to sleep?

Submission be damned, obedience a control freak power grab
Committed by ignorant patriarch’s putting women into wigs and hijabs
So breed and study books from a time when logic was viewed a crock
This world with IPhones, superstition and obsessive compulsive hooks

Justice is not in the eye of the beholder, it exists objectively
The kernel is the right of an individual to their life naturally
Never bend your head, resist your mind and fight for Liberty’s life
Sublime human nature’s the only defense against the cowardly strife

But fear’s that cousin of superstition and religion
Means never justify the end regardless of positive or negative position
So it’s up to the human sublime and determination to combat crime
The courageous and brave, maybe courteous, but never ever a knave
