Dixie’s Determination
Burden of
a kid from the South is light
Heritage
runs deep into the earth day and night
Rebel
yell makes me laugh, their skeletons rattle and shake
The
original bone yard that’ll never break
Essence
of strength nourished by tears and tragedy
Never
forgotten, the spear and fire of Sherman’s
legacy
But we
rise again in freedom, not without pain
Savannah’s dew is those tears that fall
like rain
Do I cry
in anger as once more gentleman and belle are under attack?
They
can’t leave our memories cast in bronze and rise as rats
Y’see
y’all we represent the strength of America against their treacherous
rants
Our kith
and kin under the eyes of God in battle fell
Gettysburg’s a name that sends a shiver and
death knell
But we
rise together, this time Southern White and Black
Offending
the North and the Klan stabbing us in our back
This
time, the rebel yell, will NOT allow America to die
