Microcosm
Moment
We forget
gratitude for being well
Just be
thankful we’re not going thru’ hell
We take
for granted the ringing of life’s bell
Human
nature pretending that now is eternity
We
witness suffering and it shakes us with fright
We then
hug our loved ones tight as if it were their last night
Triggered
emotions that charge like a locomotive
Suffer
the little children and it’s destructive
We go
from young to old and begin to conceptualize mortality
We
conjecture what follows finality
We take whatever
soothes our alarm
Solace
results in strength to mostly keep our calm
This
unknown conundrum allows jumps in our mind
The place
of faith before the chasm of religion
Where
suffering overcomes that divisive bludgeon
To hold
hands and pray to connect to the Power to win the day
