Ma’s Jurisprudence

Ma’s Jurisprudence

How soon the power of Nature’s forgotten
Of the Earth, everything’s carbon cotton
See the Hurricane swing and earth crack from the quake
Dear Ma Nature has no emotion or sake

You live where there’s a lake, one day a flood’ll ruin
Decide to stay on the tornado pathway, you’ll discover doom
Once more the Earth obeys its nature
Again and again it triggers that religious fervor

End of the World has always been a popular refrain
The End Days idea has frightened many from Hawaii to Maine
Out come the scripts as the terrified gather
Religion never agrees that earthly life is a happy endeavor

Predicting destruction and death and a hereafter
Better repent now or you’re headed for a hot place without an air conditioner
It’s times like that when reason must be the jurisdiction
Emotion’s an expensive luxury outside of sublime human nature’s action
