Also Me
Am I a foreigner
or wanderer come home?
I’m
embraced and slapped in a country I’ve long known
Israel’s not easy for an Anglo like me
But so
many Israelis melt the harshness in me
A country
that really is like it’s purported to be
Toughness
with a kindness they dislike being told I see
I’m
different I know in every category
But
that’s been my soul everywhere from the time I was three
Sometimes
I wonder where my home is
For I’ve
never stayed long enough perhaps
My heart
still floats like a searching bumble bee
But my
life was saved here and now I’ve no place else to be
I don’t
ask questions about existence
For that
leaves you with endless curiousness
I accept
we’re all part of Nature
And it’s
love with passion that’s the best future
