Humanity’s Still

Humanity’s Still

Where conventional is worn like a natural cloak
Then there’re the others where the fit is a yoke
Mindsets that don’t see what is apparently
A sight, a sub-culture that misses those damn trees

How ironic that in humanity, eccentricity's viewed as an oddity
Yet, mechanically an engine without, is an impossibility
See how erroneous is normative humanity?
Once more Nature demonstrating a lack of perspicacity

Surely reason can one day rule rather than emotion
A declaration that’d even surprise its recognizer’s devotion
For Aristotle knew well human nature
As did the United States Founding Fathers in their nomenclature

Deductively; eccentric, unconventional or odd, call it what you will
The cement in the wall that binds humanity still
And then the emotions that create humanity’s still
Contemplate our present and, imagine a future by really thinking when sitting still
