Dream for Love
And then
comes melancholy and it’s nothing holy
When
reality’s a prison and becomes a prism
The point
of no escape and each part is in focus
Reality’s
rock face pressed against your back
I wonder
if I’m deranged to see everything in black
Welcome
the light of reason that encourages
My mind’s
protective easing that nourishes
Time that
fink’s always at the speed you think
Wasn’t
dealing with life supposed to get easier?
Maturity
and age the panacea?
Mocking
laughter heard in my mind
My alter
ego is the of the bitchy kind
Perhaps
that’s why there’s night and day
If the
world didn’t turn we’d be stuck in dismay
A new day
and time to pray
The aroma
of coffee and suddenly that prism’s a light array
