Tyranny
with a kiss is still captivity
The
marriage between religion and polity always treachery
For if
you stand for Individual Liberty, there can be no treason
In the 21st
century how can it be we’re stuck in such a prison?
Separation,
separation, ignored into extinction
Confusion’s
the resultant position
You’ve
been taught from little to submit to religion
But you
found rising derision to obey instruction
Now your
fear walks the edge of terror
For
decision shatters the comfort of neither here nor there
The
testing mirror is seeing your soul on display
Do you
have belief or faith when religion’s stripped away?
Taught by
Jesuits to be critical
I must
tread the dare not pathway or be hypocritical
Shatter
my illusions until I stand on my strength
True
faith’s my foundation and light at length
