Saint
Anger’s Glare
So you
don’t believe that God’s panentheist?
Then look
at the suffering street kitten or the starving child
Now
declare that religion’s for the rational mind
Now dare
to be self-righteous in your comfort zone
They
prayed in vain when the gas ovens burst their brains
How many
NAZIS did you count living free until their nineties?
Remember Phnom Penh when Khmer
Rouge marched that City to death
Skeletal
rib cages picked clean by vultures of the killing fields
Now dare
to do that daily religious ritual that makes smug
Muttering
blessings while accusing sexual difference of being evil
Don’t you
see the contradictions covered by belief?
Doesn’t
it make you think your premises are from a mind thief?
And
mystics don’t you grin for it’ll become chagrin
Denying
the mind in favor of feelings is a sin
There’s
only one way to rely that mankind has humanity
It’s the
rational good called sublime human nature, not charity
