Vanilla Sugar
Cube
Do you
follow the sweet trail when love’s to no avail?
The
clouds of melancholy always rumble
That
empty area standing vacant
Abandoned
by Cupid and longing for Sugar Cube
Romantic
imagination’s an extra-ordinary station
Mind and
emotion combined to desirable perfection
And then
rises the craving that urges absolutely
For only
emptiness surrounds, so the reach is for Sugar Cube
And when
the taste’s found the pleasure isn’t happiness
It’s
momentary and begins to decline
Disappointment
after satisfaction flickers is a cut by sadness
The
talons of the enemy disguised by its sweet called Sugar Cube
Now comes
the regret within recrimination
Guilt
unearned is the suicide of emotion
And
nothing’s changed or shifted, then vanilla wafts
Realization
you’re human, so it’s love or Sugar Cube
