Two One
Two by
two walk the terraces and smile
Watched
by ones, looking at the happy each mile
Love or
association its company that’s the fascination
Reality
or imagery it’s the ones that suffer castigation
Ones are
the loners whether by election or fate’s recreation
They sit
or sleep, they paint or weep in life’s garden
They’re
the soul’s divinity has forgotten
She sits
on the stairs outside and it’s become her lair
Lady of
the night, to most she’s an ugly sight
But who
cares for her story or ignominious plight?
Hypocritical
society dictated by the religious or sanctimonious
Liberal
variety within that smug deity, see the smoke of the acrimonious
Then turn
and see who sits at the corner table or center even
Barfly or
lush when one, yet an acceptable light when two
Judgment
on sentence, made guilty for being one
Two
brings smugness and upon one the ton
