Entanglement

Entanglement

Do you seek the pleasure of your vice?
In that velvet lined slide throwing the dice
Is it a gamble or calculated risk in reality?
A view colored by desire or vermouth’s fire alley

What’s this evil rake that’s on the devil’s take?
Entity of blasphemy in the face of divinity, your soul
Always the countdown to cold remorse
Strikes at dawn when the light’s a harsh ghoul

A jagged reflection you see when the angels are crying for thee
We know that we must shake free
True freedom is our soul’s destiny
Even though at some point, YOU, merges with humanity, WE

For we’re humanity from the same light source
Feeling empathy, sympathy, guilt or innocence
Yet individuals with a right to our life
Never to sacrifice but to fight to keep your life from strife
