Happiness is the most important, for that I’ve no argument

And passions are part of that for they express contentment

Then there’s your bedrock which protects your soul

To search and discover is to find the ultimate whole

It requires faith, reason and Liberty

Subtle real differences that connect and ensure inner sanctity

Bedrock begins with thinking using logic to reason

My mind is mine and that nobody can own, is prime

That I deserve happiness is always founded on rational ground

No matter how much the world around may frown

And my passions will infuse me with love because they’re joyful

I may appear Quixotic for I love virtues, foundations of the romantic

And idiosyncratic is another finger that may be pointed

For frequently it’s the collective that’s anointed

But that always breeds the disgruntled

Its individuals who can share and accommodate that are the contented
