That They’re
Those
To fall
in love isn’t that matter of choice
Do you
yearn for that spark which changes your life?
One
second before you see their smile
And then
suddenly they’re divine
Alas
they’re also out of reach
A
teaching moment defining emotions in breach
For
there’s a gulf that separates
And
feelings are those dratted vibrations incarnate
You see
them and bite your lip
You cry
out inside but there’s nary a blip
‘til one
morn outside on the lawn
They sit
beside and take your hand with a yawn
You know
now they too see that, can’t be
Eyes that
talk, laughs and smiles that connect
What
might have been in another time or place?
Then back
to reality, in public, where you’re both formality
