Night
Says Hullo
Nostalgia’s
that lonely world petrified
For
there’s no longer life, its set
Only you’re
the living visitor
And you
see it in your desire
Time’s of
no consequence, you traveled in emotion
Seen
thru’ eyes filtering out the cracks and cries
We never
see old and sad in that ephemeral world
We see
subjective fact because nostalgia’s never cold
The
longing it brings is attached to humans not things
Loves
lost and those we miss, forever in the past
If only,
I wish or why can’t, are cries or pleas
Silent
ones that tear our heart strings
In a
quiet place when we have the age to contemplate
That’s
when there’s greatest impact
Immediately
the fading of the glow
And now
it’s cold and the shiver is reality’s blow
