Failure Bequeathed

Benefiting humanity’s a meaningless emotion

Bromide of the ignorant, that destroys

The only reality is metaphysical certainty

And that’s rational self-interest achievement, maybe even financially

Emotion’s a hot house that oppresses

It drives and shifts humanity like seeking relief from high humidity

The difference’s profound consequentially

Depending on which side propels, decides Liberty

For “helping humanity” rides politically

To succeed rationally selfishly, establishes sublime human nature naturally

It’s the Atlases of mankind that hold us up, Ayn

It’s the altruists that tear us down

And yet, look at the wreckage wrought

Those that dictate and even those who don’t

Alas, it’s been those declaring for capitalism, that’ve failed us most

In disguise they’ve sided with the dictators, greed ignoring altruism’s ghost
