A Humanity Revelation
Humanity loves to cry, the
emotion quick to identify
Classical Grecian
tragedies tear and mortify
Love carries you but
pleasures when it smites are high
Do we strive to love to
break the tie to cry?
Happiness in art is rarely
spoken about
It is the destruction of
the heart and wrought soul sought
Blackened blood through
the veins like a flood pulsate
Searching and waiting for
another’s anguished sadness to ruminate
Chill the happy ending
until horror fills the chamber of hate
In others’ desolation and
emotional dissolution do we find respite?
Where does morality draw
death beyond which is guilty spite?
No separation between the
art and the news when disaster lights
Nothing is sacred where the
release of emotions is desired
Art gives absolution and
religion too when guilt has been sired
Is this sufficiently
efficient to prevent emotional self-immolation?
One step further over the
fine line and we become the violation
