Mid Of Night Fight

Mid Of Night Fight

When the tingling starts it’s your nerves taut
Try to resist but those needles bite
So scratch the attack until it recedes
Momentary calm, for seconds later it’s again the centipedes

Think reason; imagine calm for it’s all a mind war
Breathe easy in time to stop your mental race car
Red stripes down my neck where my nails have wrecked
Nettles of invisible poison the reality of scratched

Don’t hurt yourself for insanity’s sake
Middle of the night angst is evil’s lake
At war with ourselves for reasons beyond rational
Its quantum’s work called nothing, exploding into actual

Sweet peace has been fought for over naught
Human fragility so funny against the background of compulsive thought
See, the mind is intangible but creates reality
The wound on the skin is the conflict of rigidity versus flexibility, my Sweet
