The Chocolate Moment

The Chocolate Moment

Radicalized with vestiges of the sublime in place
Wounds constantly slashed into scars, the grimace
We set out as tabula rasa innocents towards vice
It’s only the lucky whose minds aren’t infested with irrational lice

Reactionary is the name given to all in rebellion
For what’s said is usually Newtonian
Initiation of force by the irrational powers filled with fear
They instill in the fighters for freedom, great cheer

But I stand alone surrounded by the frustrated who might jeer
I don’t see those who might rise up without fear
For drenched in docility has for too long been societal rule
Conformity, collectivity, acceptance and expectancy each a tool

Perhaps I am the fool, wanting the idea of unregulated minds
It takes time for moments to arrive as unstoppable winds
Yet my curse is a blessing despite the anger at times
For it’s my mind free, dancing to chocolate moment chimes
