my heroes mostly gone to eternity

risked all, for that’s required when you reach for divinity
Not
necessarily death but until you’ve worn out all
The
lesson reaching for Olympus is stark and total
Respect
those that don’t sit but do and never quit
It’s easy
to point and criticize like a loudmouth twit
Society
doesn’t admire but admonishes desire
It bows
to power regardless of morality or evil tower
So
isolate this world from your identity
By whose
standards, is the question you ought to ask insistently
The road
of by MY mind and world, objectively
Not
whatever, but measured rationally
The
courageous are those that stand alone
It’s
impossible to know if you’ll always walk on your own
This real
question of individualism or surrender
But you
need just one other to make the circle round forever
