Kiss My Cheek

Kiss My Cheek

Now who ordains the pain that inhabits life’s plain?
Mistakes that attack like a whip flaying your back
Over and again I wrack my mind but only end up whacking my brain
Helpless or careless it deserves nothing but disdain

Stupidity is the one commodity for which there’s no enmity
Humanity teaches that with due comity, its okay relativity
Reality’s the only judge and jury
Subjectivity is wishing and optimism, defeated by objectivity

It’s necessary to question that which does not support reality
We pay the price when we don’t fight for rationality
We pray, believe in Utopia or run around a Stonehenge altar
It changes nothing albeit; it may make you feel happier

Not a cynic, but I can still hear the silence as the Six Million screamed
The cries of millions as they starve in a world of dreams
Life is a random walk that requires the understanding of human nature
Happiness resides in the bedrock of reason and sublime human nature
