Crying
for The Catcher
The lines
of melancholy mark out a crime
One
against me or you and time
For it
arrives and all pathways seem toward abyss
No
immediate reason for sadness but destroying any bliss
I’m aware
of this madness that can drive to extremes
To
thoughts that belong in nightmares, destruction themes
And this
downdraft that drags and schemes
That
regardless of action or decision, in my mind screams
Perhaps
love’s the answer, but I know one can be an island even there
For this
diabolical snare, finds a way to make despair
Silence
and loneliness isn’t only literal
It
invades a mind and is absolutely intolerable
So I
remember those who’ve succumbed to its hand
And cried
out right to their end, stranded
It’s not
obvious who suffers and society’s so afraid
Too few
see the crying outstretched pleading, and fade
