The
Forgiveness Damn
We
witness and ask forgiveness
When does
justice begin or injustice win?
Perhaps
most difficult is to forgive ourselves
But the
right to forgive is a vital holiness
Forgiveness
to be earned or deserved is the key
Received
or given can wreck sanity
For
worthiness is known deep within
Without
justification it’s diminution thru’ inflation
Conflict
between faith and reason
Turning
the other cheek or declaring sin
Sackcloth
and ashes, suffering flagellation
Or live
with guilt anguished in servitude until saturation
Then
comes the manifestation and confession
Do I
forgive myself a transgression against me?
What if it’s
imagined or I cannot, you see?
So this
is called maturity?
