The Long Walk

The Long Walk

Some people touch your heart, others your soul
Then there’re those that bounce around like in a roulette bowl
Those you want may scarcely give you a glance
It takes only one to make a romance

Are you secular or do you require a following?
Lonely are those that don’t have their filling
‘See some folks only want one and are happy too in their own company
Others again don’t rate at all, so for them a crowd constantly is heavenly

The inward tears are the worst for they never cease
So you become the Ancient Mariner seeking peace
Elusive is that state so courage is to dare
And THAT win will be sweet as you both stand bare

Torment deluxe is never forgetting when I failed
The ones that burned, turned and spurned
Faerie tale like it’ll be the one that lights and locks lips
That forever evaporates all hurts and slips
