The Great Levelers

The Great Levelers

Did they teach you well or are you in the, Generation Hell?
Sacrificial greed, stamping on others needs, the fall
Dishonest grab, praying on innocent ignorance
Conceit so sharp, nothing to blunt your arrogance

In this subjective hue where the clouds sail beneath you
Forgetfulness is the weakness that is the strength of all true
Aristotle loves to chuckle as he views the inevitable
Alas those young men and the rich believing they’ll reach indomitable

But nations too find this hilltop off which they’ll slide
Frequently hegemonic, irresistible is to be hubristic, sliding to catatonic
The J-curve; Nature’s determination that evolution won’t be moronic
The universe already set, concretely changing but lawfully entrenched

Human nature with its two-sided agony, exploding emotions of tyranny
To think, to THINK, to realize why The Greek laughs without sympathy
For logic is its own master where reality finds calm harbor
Lunge for the rational side, as there is where you’ll find JUST ardor
