I Am and
I Will
Through
adversity we discover ourselves
Taking
inspiration from those who’ve risked themselves
Their
battered bodies, many permanently changed
They
fight to win with determination and will engaged
The fight
in life can also be within oneself
To strive
for happiness, an elusive elf
Honesty
and integrity the foundations of justice
Scars
will be had as the deceivers and users in life are like lice
Endurance
and principled conviction is truth’s strength
Even
temper an approach, for only the weak lose it at length
No matter
if hit and bruised time and then again
Deride
any self-pity and push on even harder, say amen!
Embrace
the mind pain and look square at any sloth found
Looking
back is death as optimism is life with confidence its friend
Strength
within that the win is in the mist
Moving
through the abyss is a chance never to be missed
