Sadness then
happiness is the bitter sweet
We know
the sound of the siren as it wails thru’ the street
We cry
for loved ones and those we loved
We
remember those without love and make them beloved
We never
forget upon whose shoulders we stand
We always
remember the blood shed to defend our Land
We live
free as an ancient People in our country
We strive
to build and strengthen degree upon degree
We head
towards Independence
with tear stained cheeks
We enter
the new day renewed each year as summer peeks
We stand
together and treasure this moment
We know
who we are and why we’re here, the Covenant
Colors of
white and blue give our flag a biblical hue
Shield of
King David and the channukah too
No
sacrifice but the protection and defense of values true
On this
day we celebrate the brave Jew
