Nothing is that man made construct

Confuses our view especially over what was

Before our world, what existed and when?

Nothing is the popular refrain

It comes from emotion that hurts

The metaphysical war within the soul that flirts

Hugging you one minute then caning the next

Confusion over what currently exists

Deliberate refusal to accept the rational

That what is has always been

Form is the substance unseen

Never nothing, changes you from child to teen

So emotion can leave an empty feeling

Feeling nothing, so remembering and applying

We’re the human being, where reason fights feeling

We become the adult when we realize that there’s no nothing
