Wayward

Wayward

Who loves you will bake you cake
They’ll hug you and it’ll ache
You’ll always feel loss when you love
The minute you part even if it’s only to the floor above

But there’s the lesson that’s the rub
It’s a balancing act like moving water in a bath tub
Questions of existence when emotions arise
Is this divinity, nature or a biological surprise?

Best view reality and work back thru’ rationality
Self-analytical can be a self-slap enduring critical
Is this really me for I don’t think it’s ideal what I see
Making life mistakes – it ain’t how I thought it’d be

But change or shift can stop short shrift
How human ‘tis to be, regardless of your drift
You see you must for your own sake, be that free
For time is the enemy, so start it now infinitely
