enemy’s faces are a rough blur
Thru’ the
ages they’ve tried but failed to deter
Link to
the past is the biblical chain unbroken
They
stand upon the shoulders of Saul, David, Joshua and Gideon
Land of Israel from
the days of Canaan
Showed
the way from slavery to freedom

fighter was Moses to the most recent to die
A Nation
that mourns and knows what it is to cry
The
stones are silent upon the graves
Hatikvah
rings out and the living know they’re not slaves
They’re
free Jews in the Land that was twice before lost
Dried blood in the sand declares that loss will
be the last
