Ode to Snowflakes

Ode to Snowflakes

All the little snowflakes melting down
Tears dropping to the ground
See the puddles run and join
One big pond of crying sound

Seek the safe space flee and hide
Reality feels for no one it’s a tide
Afraid of the world they close their eyes
Frightened of the dark they believe in lies

The earth won’t survive so color with crayons
They’re the last generation so hug and chant marathons
Government’s the source of good so Leftward
Race is identity, another lie carved in wood

Depend on mater and pater to pay for now and later
Don’t want to grow up there’s too much paper
Pay taxes and bills, age and responsibility
Individuality and reliability that’s all mean culpability
