Debate Within

Debate Within

Religion is intolerance dressed in drag
Collectivist Utopia the ultimate myopia
Perfection a destructive disorder
Liberty’s a Lady, demure, sexy and takes no order

What’s the point says the nihilist to the bartender
To drink until the table you’re under
Feeling good is a relative perception to ponder
For recovered from a hangover, the world looks brighter

But do we push or are we pulled by directive?
Conflict within as an individual detective
Deep down that faith with no explanation
Mindful rejection of religion and acceptance of reason

I am a servant to God or embarrassment to myself
We’re left to wonder as the concretes faith does plunder
But objectively faith and reason have no liaison
Deep within there’s a soul that makes me human
