Indifference
No Difference
When life
makes you feel guilty
Because
mistakes you’ve made is your reality
That land
you inhabit, the mortgage of penance
There’s
no fence merely offense
But to
who, runs thru’ your hurting mind
For
you’re the hurt party and it’s not kind
Sensitivity
and vulnerability hidden behind brave eyes
At night
or in the dark or when nobody’s around, the cries
This
confusion that you’re the offender and defender
Why, in
your moment of faith you ask the Great Bartender
They
always serve happiness and listen while you bender
So you
talk until you realize the silence says you’re mind has gone tender
Reality
now storms back and you reach to check the phone
A human
moment you had while you were alone
Frustration
looks in and it feels like weakness and sin
But
nothing’s changed and you know it’s going to be one more gin
