They Pray
Antithesis
is my thesis, opposition to perfection
Not
imperfection but good which stands in stasis fighting infection
For
perfection is the Utopia of minds infected with myopia
A human
condition seeking godlike error, a fevered dystopia
Nature
collides with mankind’s bromides
Sayings
without stature that seek to placate
For
thinking requires the inert to become alert
And
cognitive dissonance is a rather persistent insert
But the
challenge to Nature carries on despite Sir Bacon’s strum
Nature
obeyed is laughed off in a donkey-like bray
Psychological
alchemy that stretches like Lamarck’s remarks leading astray
Stretched
giraffe necks and imaginary grain train bottlenecks
Starvation’s
the logical conclusion when the mind is fed delusion
Blame someone
and begin an investigation
Truth’s
not important, ask any government department
Pray and
play until all that’s left is Nature’s way, evolution ‘til destruction
