Irrational emotions from fear of the oceans

Flaming volcanoes the anger of the gods

Thunder and lightning frightening cowering primitives

They all can be forgiven for mistaking metaphysics

Then came the idea of patriarch and control

Sadly many suffer the same insecurity to this day called macho roll

Rites came before rights and obsessive compulsive lunacy blossomed

Do this and that as well as the other and no divine anger shall be found

But as usual reality ignores incantations and whims

Logic into reason and now there was no excuse to behold

Suffer the world as excuses and emotion override reason’s hold

All dressed up in holiness and goodness, deceit in its fancy dress

Destroy happiness if it’s not to code

Suffer sickness if it doesn’t match the law of the commanding toad

Individual right to your life must be tempered with unearned guilt

Cast aside yourself as they fight and kill declaring they are right
