Harlequin
Fear of
the future and eternity raises scoundrels to stature
Gives
tyrants power to promise and write their own nomenclature
The truth
of reason always stands silently promising nothing
In
reason, Liberty
of body and mind opposes coercion’s vice
Alas, how
to deny fear, to think, is seldom taught
Instead
its ways are raised under the guise of deep thought
Taught to
think instills a critical eye
Difference
between concrete and abstract is where truth resides
So strip
away emotion, tradition, religion and collectivism
Exposed
is the road that denies fear its animalism
But that
will expose you to attack for fear rises higher within ignorance
Morals
based on reason will have to withstand the accusation of treason
In a
world divided between religion and humanism there can be no exorcism
Different
sides of the same ethic of altruism decrying secularism
So
steeped in wreckage the competition towards imperialism
Reason
stranded and dying, crying laissez-faire, laissez-passer!
